Privacy Policy
Effective 13 September 2026 · Last updated 1 October 2026
Hunt & Associates, LLC, doing business as Hunt Injury Law (“Hunt Injury Law”, “the firm”, “we”, “us”, “our”), operates this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Please read it before you send us anything through this website.
1. What this policy covers, and what it does not
This policy covers personal information we collect through this website, including through our contact forms, our free case review forms, and the phone numbers listed on the site.
This policy does not cover information you give us after we agree to represent you. Once we have an attorney-client relationship, your information is protected by the attorney-client privilege and by our professional duty of confidentiality under the New Jersey and New York Rules of Professional Conduct. Those duties are stricter than this policy, and they take priority.
Submitting a form or calling us does not create an attorney-client relationship. See our Disclaimer and Attorney Advertising Notice for more on that.
2. Information you give us
When you fill in a form or call us, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your city, state or ZIP code
- A description of your accident, injury or legal question, including anything you choose to tell us about dates, locations, other people involved, insurance, medical treatment or lost income
- Anything else you decide to include in a message
You choose what to send us. You do not have to complete every field to contact us, and you can always call us instead at 866-456-HUNT.
Please do not send sensitive details before we speak
We ask you to keep your first message short. Tell us what happened, when, and how to reach you. Do not send medical records, insurance policy numbers, Social Security numbers, financial account details, photographs of injuries, or documents from an existing case through this website. We will tell you how to send those securely once we have spoken and, if appropriate, agreed to work together.
3. Information we collect automatically
When you visit the site, our web server and hosting provider automatically record standard technical information, including:
- Your IP address
- Your browser type, version and language
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you view and the time you spend on them
- The site or search that referred you to us
- The date and time of your visit
We use this for security, to keep the site working, and to understand in general terms how the site is being used.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses two kinds of cookies.
Necessary cookies. These make the site work. They keep it secure, remember your preferences, and let our hosting provider’s caching system serve pages quickly.
Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages they visit, how long they stay, what device and browser they use, their approximate location (city or region), and how they found us. This helps us see which pages are useful and whether our contact forms are working. Google Analytics does not tell us who you are, and Google states that it does not log or store IP addresses. We have turned off Google’s advertising features in Analytics, and we do not use this information to show you ads. We keep Analytics data for 14 months.
Our contact forms are provided by GoHighLevel and appear inside our pages. They may set their own cookies so the form works and so we can see which page an inquiry came from.
We do not run advertising pixels on this site.
How to decline analytics cookies. You can install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect how the site works. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the site may not work properly.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. As explained in section 7, we do not sell or share your personal information in any event.
5. Phone calls, text messages and call recording
Calls. Our phone system is provided by GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.). Calls to and from the firm may be recorded and stored for quality, training and accuracy of our records. If you do not want your call recorded, tell us at the start of the call and we will turn the recording off, or you can contact us in writing instead.
Text messages. If you tick the consent box on one of our forms, you agree that Hunt Injury Law may contact you by text message about your inquiry, including by automated means, at the mobile number you provided.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any legal service, and it is not a condition of us reviewing your case. You can ask us to call or email you instead.
- Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help.
- We do not sell or share your mobile number or your SMS consent with anyone for their own marketing. Text-message consent is not shared with third parties.
Email. If you give us your email address, we may use it to reply to you and, where you have agreed, to send occasional updates from the firm. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. We will always reply to a genuine inquiry regardless of your marketing choices.
6. How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and arrange a free case review
- Assess, in a preliminary way, whether the firm may be able to help you
- Run a conflict-of-interest check before we discuss your matter in detail
- Contact you by phone, text or email, as you have agreed
- Keep records of the inquiries we receive, including inquiries we decline
- Operate, secure, maintain and improve this website
- Comply with our legal, regulatory and professional obligations, including the record-keeping rules that apply to attorney advertising in New York and New Jersey
- Establish, exercise or defend legal claims
7. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade or otherwise share it for anyone else’s marketing purposes.
We do not sell, trade or refer your inquiry to other law firms, marketing companies or lead-generation vendors. When you contact Hunt Injury Law, your information comes to this firm.
We share information only with:
- Service providers who work for us. These include GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.) for our forms, CRM, phone system and messaging; Google for website analytics; our website hosting provider; and our email provider. They may only use your information to provide services to us, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Other lawyers, but only with your agreement. If your matter is outside our practice areas or the states where we are admitted, we may suggest another attorney. We will not pass your details to anyone else without asking you first.
- Where the law requires it. We may disclose information if we are required to by law, court order, subpoena or a regulatory authority, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of the firm, our clients or others.
- In connection with a change to the firm. If the firm merges, reorganizes or transfers its practice, client and inquiry records may transfer with it, subject to our professional obligations.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep inquiry information for as long as we need it for the purposes above.
- If we do not take your case, we keep a limited record of the inquiry, including the conflict check, for 2 years, so that we can show what happened if a question arises later.
- If we do take your case, your information becomes part of the client file and is kept under the firm’s file-retention policy and the professional rules that apply to client files.
- Website server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
9. How we protect your information
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. These include access controls, encryption of the site in transit (HTTPS), and vendor agreements with the service providers listed above. This is also what the New York SHIELD Act requires of us for New York residents’ information.
No website or method of transmission is completely secure. Email and web forms are not secure channels. Please do not use them to send anything you would not want a third party to read. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us at jim@huntpersonalinjury.com.
10. Your choices and your rights
Some states give residents specific privacy rights. Rather than work out which apply to you, we extend the following rights to everyone in the United States who contacts us through this site:
- Know and access. Ask us what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct. Ask us to fix information that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete. Ask us to delete the information we hold about you.
- Opt out of marketing. Tell us to stop sending marketing emails or texts. Reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or just tell us.
- Opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell or share your information for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of — but if that ever changes, you will be able to opt out and we will say how.
- No retaliation. We will not treat you differently, or decline to review your case, because you exercised any of these rights.
How to make a request. Email jim@huntpersonalinjury.com or write to us at the address in section 13. Tell us what you want us to do and give us enough detail to find your record. We may need to verify your identity before we act, and we will not use the information you give us for verification for anything else.
Our response. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and take no more than a further 45 days.
If you disagree with our decision. Reply to our response and ask us to reconsider. We will review it and give you a written answer, with our reasons. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs or the New York State Attorney General.
Limits on these rights. We may not be able to delete or restrict information where we are required to keep it — for example, information that is part of a client file, information covered by our professional obligations, information we need to comply with the attorney advertising record-keeping rules, or information we need to establish or defend a legal claim. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why.
11. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and the site is not directed at children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf.
If a parent or guardian believes a child has given us personal information, contact us at jim@huntpersonalinjury.com and we will delete it.
12. Links to other websites
This site links to other websites we do not control, including attorney rating and directory sites, court and government resources, and the profiles of organizations that have recognized the firm. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. When you leave this site, read the privacy policy of the site you go to.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change is significant — for example, if we start using advertising or analytics tools — we will make that clear on the site.
