Accessibility Statement

Effective 13 September 2026 · Last updated 13 September 2026

Our commitment

Hunt Injury Law is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. People come to this site after an accident, often in pain, often using a phone, sometimes using a screen reader or voice control. The site needs to work for them.

We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining the site, not as something added at the end.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA. WCAG is the international standard for web accessibility, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, and it is the benchmark US courts and regulators generally look to under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We also take account of:

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
  • The New Jersey Law Against Discrimination
  • The New York State and New York City Human Rights Laws

Where we currently stand

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means most of the site meets the standard, but we are aware that some parts do not yet, and we are working on them.

We would rather tell you this plainly than claim a level of conformance we cannot yet stand behind.

What we have done

Measures we have taken on this site include:

  • Text and background colors chosen and tested to meet minimum contrast ratios
  • Headings used in a logical order so the page structure makes sense to a screen reader
  • Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning, and no alternative text on images that are purely decorative
  • Links and buttons written so their purpose is clear from the link text alone
  • A layout that works with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator
  • A responsive layout that works when text is enlarged and on small screens
  • Form fields with proper labels
  • Page language declared so screen readers pronounce content correctly

Known limitations

We are aware of the following, and we are working on them:

  • Embedded forms. Our case review forms are provided by a third party. We have limited control over their markup, and some fields may not be fully labelled for screen readers. If you cannot use a form, call us at 866-456-HUNT and we will take your details over the phone.
  • Video. Some videos in our guidance library may not yet have captions or transcripts. We are adding them. If you need a transcript for a specific video, ask us and we will provide one.
  • PDF documents. Some older PDF files may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will give you the content in another format.
  • Third-party content. Content hosted by others and embedded here, including maps and rating badges, is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.

There is always another way to reach us

You never have to use this website to get help from this firm.

If any part of this site prevents you from getting in touch, contact us directly and we will take your information and arrange your free case review by whatever method works for you:

  • Phone: 866-456-HUNT (866-456-4868)
  • Email: jim@huntpersonalinjury.com
  • In person: at either of our offices, by appointment

We will also make reasonable adjustments to how we work with you as a client. Tell us what you need — large print, documents by email rather than post, a longer appointment, a specific meeting format, or an interpreter — and we will arrange it.

Tell us about a problem

If you find a page you cannot use, we want to hear about it. Please contact us and include:

  • The web address of the page
  • What you were trying to do
  • What went wrong
  • The browser, device and any assistive technology you were using, if you know

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to tell you how and when we plan to fix the problem. If a fix will take time, we will offer you another way to get the information or service in the meantime.

If you are not satisfied with our response, reply and ask for it to be reviewed by the attorney responsible for the site, James T. Hunt Jr.

How we assess the site

We review accessibility through a mix of automated testing and manual checks, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing. We check pages when they are built and when they are substantially changed.

We have not commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit of this site. If that changes, we will say so here and publish what we can.

No accessibility overlay

We do not use an accessibility overlay, toolbar or widget on this site. These tools are often marketed as a quick fix, but they do not reliably make a site accessible and many screen reader users find they get in the way. We would rather fix the underlying pages.

Changes to this statement

We review this statement at least once a year and whenever the site is significantly changed. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.
